A highlight for me was going to Melfort by myself on the train, Dad knew the train workers and they watched over me, and my uncle Leroy Braaten was the station master at Melfort and Auntie Joy were there to made sure I got off the train, I stayed at big two story CN train station in Melfort and went to the Melfort Fair. The bumper cars were my favorite rides besides the food.
